Year 5 children design a home fit for the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex competition 06/06/18
Year 5 children entered a "design a home fit for the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex" competition, organised by Manor Park and Hempstead Fields Residents’ Association.
The judges’ challenge was to choose three winners from each class for prizes which will be presented at the association’s Big Lunch at Uckfield Rugby Club on Sunday, from noon to 2pm.
The children were imaginative in their work, with many even creating functioning doors and windows. They were able to choose their own medium; paint, crayon or collage.
Residents on Manor Park and Hempstead Fields are invited to take a picnic to the gathering on Sunday where activities will include an inflatable assault course, Punch and Judy, dog show, ice cream, a fire engine and face painting. The bar will be open in the rugby club too. The art competition prizes will be presented at 1pm.
