Primary Science Quality Mark

posted 12 May 2017, 04:20 by Office Admin   [ updated 26 Jun 2017, 04:25 ]

Manor Primary School has been awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) Silver Level.  This is a significant achievement for the school as it has only been awarded to 168 infant, junior, primary, middle and special schools this year.  This award celebrates a commitment to excellence in science teaching and learning.  The PSQM board recognised that the children and staff at Manor enjoy their science learning; in particular the high quality investigations carried out by the children.  Jane Turner, PSQM National Director said "Gaining a Primary Science Quality Award is a significant achievement for a school.  The profile and quality of science teaching and learning in each awarded school is very high.  Children are engaging with great science both in and outside the classroom, developing positive attitudes towards science as well as secure science understanding and skills.  Science subject leaders, their colleagues, head teachers, children, parents and governors should be very proud".
